Her PhD project is entitled "Household food security issues and impact on health outcomes in Indigenous Australian children aged 6 months to 4 years residing in the Darwin-Palmerston region of the Northern Territory" and will be carried out at the Menzies School of Health Research.

Maria's PhD project entitled "Identifying psycho-social risk in families of newly diagnosed paediatric oncology patients" was carried out at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, Melbourne.

Sally Monaghan (now Gainsbury) holds the degree of Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney (2004).

Sally's PhD project entitled "Do irrational beliefs maintain problem gambling behaviour?" was carried out at the University of Sydney.

In 2010, Sally was awarded a $25,000 allied health start-up grant from the Menzies Foundation to begin groundbreaking research at the Southern Cross University into internet gambling in Australia.  Click here for further information.
