The importance of the discoveries in the Towards a Better Practice Model report are twofold: they show the landscape of philanthropy, and the opportunity.
Both grantmakers and grantseekers are passionate and united in their commitment to addressing the serious social problems facing Australia and work collaboratively to support social change. There does seem to be a considerable discrepancy between grantseeker and grantmaker perceptions around what that is.
When philanthropists fund not-for-profit organisations, it is generally for specific projects. Very few organisations will fund bolstering infrastructure or systems upgrades.

PIPP brings together ten organisations, who will work together with international experts in a series of nine workshops over three years. These workshops will teach evidence-led adaptive approaches that encourage organisations put aside older approaches that no longer serve as their environments change.
